The Unguided Gastrobotanical Walk offers the guests the opportunity to follow a natural 2.5 km trail at their own pace, where they explore plants and trees from around the world, Cretan herbs and learn about the unique climate and biodiversity of the area. Guests participate in a cooking workshop based on the Cretan diet, where guests connect ingredients, flavour, and seasonality with the wider ecosystem of the Botanical Garden of Crete. After the walk, guests enjoy lunch at the Garden’s restaurant.

- Presentation of Cretan olive oil and its use in their daily routine
- Lunch is based on local and seasonal vegetables, legumes, and meat, inspired by traditional Cretan cuisine. The dishes are placed at the center of the table, encouraging sharing and creating a warm, communal dining experience
