The Climate of Crete
Crete is in the Mediterranean climate zone, which is the most important aspect of its climate.It has a temperate climate. The atmosphere may be quite humid, depending on the area’s proximity to the sea.
Winters are quite calm and wet, with many rains – most of which in the western parts of Crete. Snow is rare on plains but often on the mountains. During the summer, median temperature ranges between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius, and is definitely lower than the temperature in mainland Greece.
