ENVIRONMENT LEARNING PROGRAMMES
Programme 1 :
1. Welcoming of the students with Cretan tea (malotira, diktamos, mantzourana , salvia).
2. A tour of the park . The students are escorted by their teachers.
3. Free time in the amphitheatre for games , arts &crafts and drawing with objects from nature .
Programme 2 :
1. Welcoming of the students with Cretan tea (malotira, diktamos, mantzourana , salvia)
2. The geological history of Crete
3. The evolution of endemic plant species and the factors influencing them.
4. A slide show of topics from the mountainous areas of Crete – activities- flora and fauna.
5. A speech – introduction on the Cretan Diet and its relationship with the Cretan flora.
6. A guided tour of the park ( history, philosophy.
Programme 3 :
1. Welcoming of the students with Cretan tea (malotira, diktamos, mantzourana , salvia).
2. The geological history of Crete.
3. The evolution of endemic plant species and the factors influencing them. NEW PROGRAMMES.
4. A slide show of topics from the mountainous areas of Crete – activities- flora and fauna.
5. A speech – introduction on the Cretan Diet and its relationship with the Cretan flora.
6. A guided tour of the park ( history, philosophy, sciences relevant to the local flora) and display of the most important endemic plants – herbs- fruit trees .
7. A little lunch consisting of fresh orange juice, kalitsounia, bread baked in the wood oven with mizythra and olive oil, pancakes with honey and much more.
