Last but not least, we give emphasis to the fact that we use local products which are in season, and we don’t follow recipes only, but use our imagination depending on the season and the available ingredients.

Programme 1

Welcoming with fruit of the park and sample tasting of tea made from endemic Cretan herbs.
Presentation of herbs and spices found in the park and their use in cooking and flavouring

Sample tasting of local wines
Teaching how to cook with the participation of visitors in groups of 4-5 people . We will help them cook traditional Cretan food such as kakitsounia, “symbetherio”, “boureki”, “dolmadakia”. We will also show them how to bake bread in a wood oven.
During these lessons , wine and “tsikoudia” (raki) will be offered.
A meal will follow with all the foods prepared by learners.

Programme 2

Welcoming with fruit of the park and sample tasting of tea made from endemic Cretan herbs.
A walk in the park in order to collect herbs and vegetables.
Each group can prepare the food they choose with all the ingredients collected in the park.
A meal with all the food prepared by learners.
During the meal and the walk through the park, visitors will be provided with water, wine and tsikoudia.
